Here are 4 questions to ask yourself to help you determine what kind of custom printed napkins you need.
What size do you need?
We offer 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" paper napkins in bulk, which we refer to as beverage napkins but they are also known as cocktail napkins. We also offer 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" paper napkins in bulk, which we refer to as luncheon napkins. We even offer a dinner napkin in white, which is 8" x 8". Beverage napkins are very versatile and perfect for all kinds of special events whereas luncheon napkins are used specifically for events where a meal is being served. Do you want coined or uncoined?
Coined refers to the embossed lines along two out of four edges of a paper napkin. Choosing a coined napkin will reduce the imprint size you have to work with whereas uncoined napkins allow more room for your custom napkin artwork. We offer templates for download to help you understand exactly what imprint area you have to work with. You can find those templates within the product details area of each product offering or in the Product Templates section, whichappears in the footer of the webpage.
Would you like digital printing, foil stamping or both?
We offer both 4-color digital printing and foil stamping on our custom paper napkins. We do not offer spot color on our napkins but our digital printing is state-of-the-art and the color quality is exceptional. Foil stamping is available in metallic and matte foil colors and we offer multiple paper napkin colors with foil stamping. Digital printing is only available on white or ecru napkins.
How many napkins do you need?
If you're ordering custom paper napkins for a formal event, the rule of thumb is to order three beverage napkins per guest and two luncheon napkins per guest. If the event is a wedding and there is cake being served, it's best to order an extra beverage napkin per guest. Remember, it's always better to order too many napkins than too few. The client can often use extra custom printed napkins long after the event.
