Multiply the power of your design!

A birthday party invitation is shown with matching napkins and favor boxes filled with treats.

How much are you capitalizing on a single design? You put a lot of work into your stationery designs, and it shows! Why not get a little more buck for your bang by using what you’ve already created on several different custom print pieces, which are sure to impress your clients and increase your profit. If you’re not already offering a suite of products for every invitation design you create, you’re missing out on sales and your customers are missing out on one the things that makes custom print so special: all the ways they get to let their personality shine!

A while back, we highlighted my daughter’s third birthday party. Super cute! Give it a read if you haven’t already, A Birthday Party (And Invitation) to Remember! But we wanted to take a little deeper dive into the custom print birthday invitations and other party essentials we chose to use for that celebration. Why? Because these are great for ANY celebration and should be staples in your portfolio of products.

A very talented designer friend of mine created these invitations for me based on the party theme and an absolutely horrible drawing of my parents’ place that I handed over to him blushing with embarrassment. As you can see, he’s got skills and turned it into something beyond charming.

A birthday party invitation with full-color woodland design, coordinating belly band and scalloped edge.

We chose the 5 x 7 (A7) Flat Card with digital printing because it allowed him to use his illustration skills to create a wonderfully colorful world on both the front and the back. He offered the idea of adding a belly band for a little wow factor. I wasn’t totally on board at first because belly bands really shout formal to me, like wedding or gala invitations, but as you can see, it totally works! He then took the bees from the map on the back of the invitations and used those on a few different party essentials that totally wowed our party guests.

Custom favor boxes featuring a honey pot with the number three are stacked in a tower.

Favor boxes are fantastic because they are printed on all sides for visual impact and they ALWAYS look fabulous no matter how or where you display them at the party. They are one of the easiest ways to make a dramatic décor statement and who doesn’t love the anticipation of wondering what delicious dessert or terrific trinket waits inside? We chose a honey pot design with the same bee design element on the invitation. The bees are flying and diving all over the favor boxes but I really like that we chose to create a focal point on the top with the honey pot design personalized with her age.

Custom beverage napkins featuring honey pot design and Winnie the Pooh quote are shown next to a bright yellow cake.

Onto the custom print napkins! As you can see, I brought in my love for Winnie the Pooh quotes on these, along with the honey pot design from the favor boxes and the bees from the invitation. And, of course, I had to sneak in a pic of the cake in all its cuteness with bright yellow frosting and buzzing bees. The napkins tie it all together beautifully, and they are the cheapest and most effective way to level up your customers’ party decorations. The best part is, they’re a necessity so customers get to check two boxes on their list of party goals: napkins and personalized decorations! We offer napkins with digital print or foil stamping, so you can choose what fits your occasion best. These napkins are Beverage Uncoined Napkins in white with digital print.
