Hot Trend Off the Press: Airline Ticket Save the Dates

A save-the-date designed to look like an airline ticket is shown with other designs in the background.

Today we’re coming to you with a hot item that reflects one of today’s hottest trends — destination weddings. Now that everyone can begin traveling and enjoying a change of scenery once again, destination weddings are as popular as ever. Plus, more and more couples are choosing custom stationery designers for their wedding stationery.

We grabbed this airline ticket save the date straight off the press because we just love it! Designed by Jennifer Sanchez at Social Savvy Design Studio, this save the date is a fantastic example of a popular wedding stationery trend we’re seeing, and that is creating custom print wedding stationery that mimics the look of important travel papers like airline tickets and passports. We’ve been seeing airline ticket save the dates and wedding invitations as well as wedding weekend itinerary cards designed like passports coming through on the regular and they always get our attention. Stationery design doesn’t get much more fun than destination wedding stationery!

Let’s dig into a few of the design elements we’re really loving on this particular save the date. Jennifer did a fabulous job incorporating an adorable photo of the couple into this design, and she really set the whole thing off with shimmering gold foil stamping. Not to mention she used the back to include an artistic illustration of the destination itself, hitting on another stationery trend we love, Venue Inspired Artwork.

A huge thank you to Jennifer for letting us feature her artwork today! Want your design featured? Just email us at customercare@tog.ink with your order confirmation number and we’ll be in touch!
