What’s your story? Give us the quick and dirty version of how your business came to be! I started Blue Leaf in 2018 after my husband and I got married. I’ve always had a fondness for sweet words and gorgeous design, but after creating our own wedding invitations and stationery, I knew it was something I wanted to pursue on a professional level.
Our products range from unique and cheerful greeting cards to full-service custom wedding invitations and day-of stationery.
Where do you find inspiration? It’s usually one element of an idea that initially speaks to me – whether that is simply an envelope color or the way a certain word looks and feels in a specific typography. From there, I usually take that one piece and build on it to create a full cohesive design.
And, of course, my most clever greeting card copy always hits me when I’m in the shower or dead asleep. 😉
What are a few of your favorite blogs or podcasts? I’m a sucker for anything true crime, but I also love to start my day with NPR’s “Up First” and the “What a Day” podcast. On Fridays I love to listen to “All Songs Considered” to find something new to listen to and love.
What’s your favorite dessert? I will never turn down an ice cream sandwich. Never! (Fun fact – my husband & I actually had ice cream sandwiches and root beer floats at our wedding in lieu of wedding cake!)
How do you use TOG.ink? I get all my greeting cards and the majority of my custom wedding invitations printed by TOG.ink.
What do you like most about working with TOG.ink? Definitely the ease of ordering and ability to order low minimums with processes such as foil and letterpress, which I use in the majority of my work. The quality of TOG.ink’s products is fantastic, and I love how quickly I can count on my orders being processed. On the rare occasions that I’ve had to reach out to customer service, everyone I’ve talked to has been incredibly helpful and friendly.
Any advice for someone just starting out with TOG.ink? Be sure to take the time to explore all the different print options and products! There’s so much you can do!
