What Are Envelope Liners?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Envelope liners are decorative pieces of paper that line the inside flap of an envelope, adding a touch of luxury, color or pattern. They can feature personalization like monograms, printed patterns or solid colors. They are an extension of the stationery design, and they offer a preview of the experience recipients can expect when they open their mail. Lightweight, No Added Cost<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lightweight paper stocks, such as text-weight paper or vellum, are thin enough to fit inside the envelope without adding too much bulk. TOG.ink’s custom envelope liners are made of 70 lb. text-weight paper, which means no added cost when mailing. Specialty materials like metallic or textured papers are popular for creating a luxe finish but watch the thickness. If you make your own, make sure the papers fold well and be sure to weigh a completed suite to see how much postage will be.<\/p>\n

How to Attach Envelope Liners<\/strong><\/h3>\n

TOG.ink liners come with adhesive strips on the back to make attaching them to the inside of the envelope quick and easy. If making your own, we recommend double-sided tape because it keeps everything secure with warping the envelope or showing through it. Glue sticks are also an options but go light!<\/p>\n

Attaching Liners in 5 Easy Steps <\/strong><\/h4>\n

  1. Leave the adhesive strip on while determining placement.<\/li>\n
  2. Place the liner inside the envelope but not to the bottom.<\/li>\n
  3. Align the liner with the envelope flap without covering the gummed portion.<\/li>\n
  4. DO NOT ATTACH YET. Now fold the flap over and crease.<\/li>\n
  5. Unfold the flap and remove the adhesive strip. Now stick the liner to the envelope flap.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
